Ford Essex V6 (UK)

Origin: United Kingdom

Production Years: 1966–1988

Displacement: 2.0 , 2.5L, 3.0L

Material: Cast iron block and heads

Design: 60° V6, pushrod (OHV)

Applications: Ford Capri, Granada, Consul, Transit (mainly UK/European models)

Notable Feature: Known for torque and simplicity, often used in performance modifications in the UK.


Ford Cologne V6 (Germany)

Origin: Germany (Cologne plant)

Production Years: 1962–2011

Displacement: 

The Ford Cologne Engine in 2.3 and 2.7 hex drive .  NOT suitable for 2.9 with Stardrive drive 

Note USA:
The  Cologne V6, specifically the 2.8 L variant, was fitted across a variety of U.S. models—including the Mercury Capri, Ford Mustang II, Ford Pinto, Mercury Bobcat, TVR 280i/Tasmin, Ford Ranger, Bronco II, Ford Aerostar, and early third-generation Mustang (1979).

Material: Cast iron block, aluminum or iron heads (varies by version)
