Collection: Triumph Herald

The Triumph Herald was a compact car introduced by the Standard-Triumph Company in 1959 and produced until 1971. Designed by Italian stylist Giovanni Michelotti, it stood out for its modern styling, separate chassis construction, and easy maintenance—ideal for DIY mechanics.

Key Highlights:

1959 Launch: Debuted with a 948cc engine and independent front suspension—unusual for its class.

Variants: Over the years, Triumph added coupé, convertible, and estate,  versions.

Engine Upgrades: From the original 948cc, the Herald saw progressively larger engines (up to 1296cc in the Herald 13/60).

Sales Success: Over 500,000 units were sold, popular in the UK and abroad for its style and drivability.

Legacy: The Herald’s chassis was used as the basis for other Triumphs, including the Spitfire and Vitesse.

The Herald is now considered a British classic and remains popular among vintage car enthusiasts for its charm and relatively simple mechanics.
