Collection: MG Midget 1500cc

The MG Midget 1500cc, produced from 1974 to 1980, was the final evolution of the classic MG Midget line. It featured a 1493cc engine sourced from the Triumph Spitfire, offering improved torque and performance over its earlier A-series counterparts. This version also came with a full synchromesh gearbox, which made driving smoother and more refined. To meet U.S. safety regulations, it sported large rubber bumpers and a raised ride height, changes that marked a departure from the original design’s delicate proportions. Despite these alterations, the Midget 1500 remained a beloved lightweight British roadster, known for its nimble handling, open-air fun, and strong enthusiast following.
