Collection: All B-series engines BMC and BL

The Austin B-series engine is a four-cylinder internal combustion engine introduced in 1954 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). It was designed to offer more power and performance compared to the smaller A-series engine. The B-series was initially a 1.5-liter engine but later versions included larger displacements.

This engine was primarily fitted to a variety of BMC's mid-sized cars, including t the Morris Oxford. It also saw use in the MG MagnetteWolseley 15/50 and most famously the  Morris Marina , MGA and MGB 1800cc . The engine remained in production until the 1980s, although it was gradually replaced by more modern engines in the years that followed.
